Project 365: Week 14

Day 93:  This boy loves wearing socks on his hands for some strange reason.  Seriously, after almost every nap his has taken his socks off his feet and put them on his hands.  He'll leave them there for hours and even try to eat food with them on (that's where we draw the line, of course!).  And no, our house isn't exceptionally cold and his hands don't feel cold to the touch, so I don't think it's because his hands are freezing or some logical explanation like that.  

 Day 94:  Lunch with Dad at the park.  

Day 95:  Dinner with the McKims.  Can you spot all 5 cousins in this pic??

 Day 96:  Saturday morning dance party in the kitchen after baking some muffins.

Day 98:  Great Grandma and Grandpa stopped by for a short visit!  This was the best pic we could get (cracker in his mouth and all) because that boy just wanted to get down and play and show off some more!

Project 365: Week 13

Day 86:  These two have a lot of fun together.  The little game West made up here is Brad reads to him out loud while West bounces up and down on his chest.  

Day 87:  I tried to finish doing my kickboxing video after West woke up earlier than usual one morning.  After watching me for awhile, he decided he wanted to try it out and put on my weighted gloves.  :)

Day 88:  Early morning hugs before Daddy left for work. 

 Day 90:  Celebrating Easter Sunday with my family and reading about the resurrection of Jesus in West's new Bible.  

Day 91:  Just being cute.  :)

Project 365: Week 12

Day 79:  Boy's got style.  He's always finding hats, glasses, and shoes to wear.   

 Day 80:  The only good thing about houses being built next to us and directly across from us = entertainment for West.

 Day 81:  My little "helper" washing dishes with me.

 Day 82:  Watching the snow with Dad.  Hopefully that was the last snow until next winter!!

Project 365: Week 11

Day 71:  Wearing a crazy hat while "drinking" from an empty lotion bottle (it was cleaned out - I promise!).  Yep.

Day 72:  Patting his band-aid from his shots at his 18 mo checkup.  The good news is that was his last shot until he starts school!

 Day 73:  Our last day with this table in our kitchen.  We bought a new (used) one that seats 6 and is regular height.  It's a much better fit for our family, but we'll sure miss this table!  It was the first real piece of furniture we bought so we're a little sentimental about it.  :)

Day 74:  Playing outside in the 75 degree weather!  I've learned one of the best ways to get him to hold still for a second is to either ask him to point to a body part or ask him to make animal sounds.  In the first picture he's mooing like a cow (weird I know - he actually makes the noise with his mouth closed) and in the second he's saying ooh ooh ah ah like a monkey.  

Day 75:  Petting the chicks at Orschelns (more pics from that morning here)

 Day 76:  Bath time with Dad.

 Day 77:  Shoveling the dirt pile in the lot next door.  

Project 365: Week 10

I crashed and burned this week -- only took pics 3 of the 7 days.  And now that my streak is broken, it's much more likely that I'll miss a couple days each week.  Just a warning.  :)

Day 65:  "Nnnoe" (nose) "Chee" (chin)

Day 66:  I took our comforter to the laundromat since it's too big for our washer.  West loved watching it in the front loading washer since it had a window!!  He also loved standing up in the window here and watching "uck" (trucks), "ar" (cars), and "bihd" (birds) go by.  

Day 70:  Just being silly.  He always covers his mouth when he's upset or hurt, but if I remember correctly he was just blowing me kisses in this picture.  :)

Project 365: Week 9

Way behind, but here's week 9.  :)

Day 57:  Watching the snow and getting little lip smears all over our windows.  :)

 Day 58:  Playing in his room.

 Day 59:  Standing all of his puzzles pieces up on their sides.  It's funny how he comes up with little things like this - we never really played with him like this but for a few days he made sure all his puzzle pieces were arranged like this.  

 Day 60:  Not feeling so good today - constant runny nose.  :(  Here he's pretending to sneeze - he does that a lot when I ask him to wipe his nose.  

 Day 61:  No clue what's going on here.  Let's just say West can be a little bully sometimes.  ;)

 Day 62:  Playing out in the snow on a warmer day.  In the first pic Brad made a snowball and put it in West's hand. 

 Day 63:  Playing out in the snow again.  At one point he ran over to his sandbox and pulled this little truck out to play in the snow.  Awhile later I noticed it's actually a DOT snow plow.  Pretty funny coincidence!  (Or our kid is a genius.)

Project 365... Weeks 7 & 8

So I got a little behind posting, but I still haven't missed a day yet (I've been close, though!!).

Day 43:  Talking to Dad on the phone when he was driving home from work.  Talking on the phone is one of his favorite things to do right now!  Anytime I'm on the phone he says "Dada" over and over and tries to grab the phone from my hands so he can talk.

Day  44:  Aunt Katie came for a visit!  

 Day 45:  Finger-painting on Valentine's Day.  We used his hand prints to make heart shapes on Valentine's cards and then I just let him go at it.  

Day 46:  Papa Johnie with his three youngest grandsons rocking out on the keyboard.  :)

 Day 47:  Brad grabbed the camera and snapped this sweet shot of my boy and me.  

 Day 48:  Playing downstairs with our friends Evan and Farah.  

 Day 49:  Climbing up the drawers to reach things on the bathroom counter.  He does this in the kitchen, too.  Such a monkey!!

Week Eight

Day 50:  Playing with my brand new 35 mm lens Brad got me for Valentine's Day!  Soooo in love with it!!!  I'll have to post some shots here soon of how it compares to the lens I had before.

Day 51:  This boy loves reading! 

 Day 52:  Hanging out with Dad on a snow day!

 Day 53:  Another thing this boy loves is Chapstick.  He pulled the chair over to the counter and got it out of the drawer.  The weirdest thing is that he doesn't even put it on - he just likes holding it.

 Day 54:  Grandma Dee and Papa Johnie spent the day with West while Brad and I attended a spiritual gifts workshop at church.  The workshop was from 9-4, which made for the longest I've ever been away from West in his almost 18 months of life!  (The few days I did work before I quit I always went and nursed him over my lunch hour, so I never went a day without seeing him!).  We didn't worry one bit, though, because we knew he was in heaven with his Grandma and Papa.  

 Day 55:  West also loves jumping from the couch to the ottoman and back again.  He always pumps himself up before he jumps by pumping his fists and saying "Jump jump jump."  It's pretty stinking adorable.  

 Day 56:  Another beautiful snow day!!  It looked like we were in the middle of a snow globe!

Project 365... Week 6

Day 36:  Trying to photograph a sunburst.  I'd love to incorporate one with the silhouette of a family in the foreground someday!

 Day 37:  First week of doing the Beth Moore study "Living Beyond Yourself" with our church.  It's all about living in the power of the Holy Spirit and the development of the fruit of the spirit... yeah, I can always be working on my love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control!  Especially staying at home with a toddler all day!  ;)

 Day 38:  Our little model on his 17 mo birthday.  He insisted on wearing the hood from his winter coat around while we were playing.

 Day 39:  He's always pulling the chair around to get up to the counter and sink.  It's one of our biggest all-day battles with him currently.  This too shall pass, right?  

 Day 40:  Dad invented a new game West loves - stacking the tissue boxes along the railing of his crib so that West can knock them all down as fast as possible.  West LOVED this!

 Day 41:  We went for a walk at Metro North Mall (it was way too windy to walk outside!) and Brad's favorite part by far was getting to go on the escalators.  West really enjoyed it!  

 Day 42:  Hanging out with Uncle Cody on Monday.  They were buds the whole time!
