Christmas Eve and Morning

On Christmas Eve we were supposed to have my dad, brother, and sister over for dinner after our Christmas Eve service at church, but we had been sick with a stomach bug the night before and earlier that day so we had to postpone.  We took it pretty easy, though we did make it out for the Christmas Eve service because we were feeling a little better then and didn't want to miss it.  Afterwards we had dinner and kept West up a little later than usual watching "It's a Wonderful Life" in his new pj's.  Before bed we read the story of Jesus' birth and "The Night Before Christmas."
Christmas morning we didn't want anything too heavy on our stomachs, so we ended up having cinnamon toast cut into Christmas shapes for breakfast and then opened stockings and presents.
West got new toothpaste, toothbrushes, and forks in his stocking and new plates, a warm fleece jacket, and a keyboard as presents.
He had to put each piece of paper that he tore off on the ottoman.

Christmas with Grandma Rosemary and family

After our own Christmas morning festivities we loaded up and headed down to my Grandma's to have Christmas with my mom and her side of the family.

Falling asleep in the car on the way there

 Opening presents
After opening presents we headed out into the freezing cold to take some pictures for my dad.  He's been asking for new pictures of his kids for months now and we were finally able to take some for him for Christmas.

"Christmas morning" at Grandma Dee and Papa Johnie's

His very own table and chairs!
When Papa Johnie sat down at the table with him he wanted to pray. :)
 Praying
As the youngest, West was first up to open a present.  Papa Johnie brought one over to him but he wanted Papa to open it instead.
He wanted it out of the box so he was signing "more."  He did this with all the gifts for some reason.

All the boys liked "sharing" each other's gifts.  :)
Papa Johnie was the official present getter-outer - all the boys crowded around waiting for him to cut some tape open with his knife.
 Loved Mace's reaction!
We got this drum for Silas (or Atticus??) but I think West wanted to keep it for himself!
 Again signing "more"
Mace and Titus playing with their "iPads" and Mace fist-pumping because he won a game.
The "triplets" at the table with their new laptops!
