We had our first family Christmas last weekend and it was a blast! Unfortunately I didn't get any shots of the festivities but I did get some pictures of the concert that West and Atticus put on for us at the end of the night. :)
West sat there for probably 20+ mins or so "playing" so intently! It was pretty sweet.
I played with my camera this morning and tried snapping some Christmas-y pics for fun. The tree is looking pretty bare underneath - we need to get to shopping!!

This year I finally talked Brad into getting some nice stockings. I'd been eyeing the traditional velvet ones from Pottery Barn for a couple years now and ordered them for us on Black Friday - they ended up just being $16 each with free shipping and monogramming and no tax, which we thought was a great deal since we were looking to spend $10-$15 on one for West that we didn't really like anyways. Funny thing about these stockings - I agonized over color combinations and fonts for the names and whether we should use "West" or "Weston"... and then days after I ordered them it suddenly hit me that ours should say Dad and Mom, not Brad and Kayla! I don't know why that never crossed my mind when I was over-thinking every other aspect! Oh well. :)
We are thoroughly enjoying Christmas music and movies and time with family and friends and most importantly, remembering what this season is all about: a Savior who was born into this dark world to live among us, to be an example, to die on a cross and bear the wrath of God, and then to come to life again and be seated at the right hand of God the Father. Because of his birth, death, and resurrection, we have eternal life when we believe in Him. That is certainly the greatest gift of all!
