West's first ever birthday present!

Papa Johnie and Grandma Dee brought West's birthday present over a little early so he could start enjoying it now.  He LOVES it!!!  THANK YOU GUYS!! 

A few of his favorite things...

I followed West around with the camera for about half an hour yesterday morning trying to capture him doing some of his favorite things.

The shape sorter - he's getting really good at putting the shapes on his own once I show him which hole it goes in.

 Baby Bear - he loves this book!

Clearing out "his" kitchen drawer and cabinets

He LOVES sitting up on the ottoman and has figured out how to climb up it all by himself!  I swear he has the feet of spiderman or something!

Sitting on the hearth like we put it there just for him to have a seat his size.

This one was actually taken last week, but he loves balancing on the cross beams of the kitchen table.  Maybe we watched a little too much gymnastics when the Olympics were on??  ;)  Makes me so nervous but he hardly falls!

Little Chatterbox

West is babbling all the time now and it. is. awesome.  We're just constantly listening and laughing.  Normally we can't catch it on video because he stops once we hit record, but last night he kept right on talking.

P.S. If you're wondering about the black things on the floor - those are the kitchen rugs.  We were just getting ready to sweep up after dinner.  Hence the broom too, which is one of West's favorite "toys."
