Garage Sale-ing

We hosted our very first garage sale yesterday and today.  Phew... we're glad it's over!  Dee came down Thursday afternoon to help get it all ready, treated us to pizza for dinner, and stayed to help me with it Friday since Brad was at work and I didn't want to have to close it up every time I needed to feed/change West.  We had such a good time.  Couldn't have done it without you, Dee!!!

This morning we opened again bright and early and got some shots of West and Brad hanging out before the hoards few customers arrived.  Notice the "Make Offer" sticker Brad put on West...

 Not long after we opened we did a double take when we saw a couple people walk up - Johnie and Dee surprised us with a visit!  And they came bearing doughnuts!  It was definitely a great start to the day.  :)

All in all, we feel our first garage sale was a success.  We had amassed a surprising amount of stuff from college and our first five years of marriage so it felt great to declutter and make a few bucks.  It was slower than we were hoping and we had a fair amount left over, but Johnie and Dee took most all of it by Goodwill this afternoon (big thanks!!).

West's First Easter, part 2

In addition to hosting my family on Easter Sunday, we celebrated Easter with Brad's parents, sister and her family, and grandparents.  We had an egg hunt with the older boys, lots of cuddles and chaos with the "triplets," and an out-of-this-world dinner!

West's First Easter

We hosted my side of the family this Easter and it was a beautiful day!  Went to the early service at church to celebrate our risen Savior and made it home in time to get changed and get the food ready (thankfully we were only responsible for the ham and green bean casserole - the rest of the family brought all the other dishes!).  We played washers, hung out outside, planted three peony bushes from my grandma, and enjoyed some delicious food.  It would've been perfect had my mom and brother been able to make it (they were both home sick with fevers).
